Today for NZ Sporting History we're revisiting a golden moment in rowing when the New Zealand eight won the 1982 World Rowing Championships in Lucerne, Switzerland
The victory was inducted into the New Zealand Sports Hall of Fame in 1995... and this year marks the 40th anniversary!
Mike Stanley was one of the successful eight and is now the President of the New Zealand Olympic Committee. He talks to Jesse about their win and the impact it had on the sport.
