Doug the 7.9kg Spud

The largest potato in the world...maybe

A couple living just outside of Hamilton in Ngahinapouri have made international headlines this week for growing what could be the world's biggest potato.

Donna and Colin Craig-Brown have named the 7.9 kilogram potato Doug while they await official confirmation that he's the world's largest from the Guiness Book of World Records.
