Court packed for review of NZ's Covid-19 lockdown legality

The public gallery was packed for the first day of a judicial review about whether the country was put into level four lockdown lawfully.

The lawyer Andrew Borrowdale is bringing a judicial review case against the Director-General of Health Ashley Bloomfield saying he exceeded his powers when the country was put into lockdown.

Hamish Cardwell was in the High Court in Wellington and filed this report.
