Whānau Māori who are going through the family court say they're being ignored by judges, and left to navigate a confusing system without support.
The experiences of 36 people - ranging from parents, to grandparents and children - are outlined in the independent report, Te Taniwha i Te Ao Ture-a-Whānau.
Researchers say reform is overdue - but the chief Family Court judge says improvements are already underway.
