Tempers frayed at a community meeting in Waihi Beach this afternoon over ongoing stormwater issues that have seen the area flood time and time again.
Most recently, a flash flood on 29 May saw around 50 people forced from their homes, many of them elderly pensioners who needed to be rescued by firefighters.
Western Bay of Plenty District Council invited locals to the community centre this afternoon to air their concerns and find out what's being done to prevent future flooding.
