Wait time for cardiac equipment could be fatal - doctor

A cardiologist said the wait for life-saving cardiac equipment at Dunedin Hospital could have fatal consequences. Dunedin Hospital's cath lab is the only unit where vital heart procedures are carried out. But it's out of action, while the hospital waits for a replacement part. Cardiologist Professor Gerard Wilkins spoke to Lisa Owen.
