Rhys Roberts is in charge of seven dairy farms and a market garden in Canterbury as the CEO of Align Farms.
He's the winner of the 2022 New Zealand Zanda McDonald Award which recognises young people making a difference in agriculture.
The judges were impressed by Rhys' strong focus on a lower environmental footprint and the wellbeing of his two dozen staff.
