Women who hired CEO of UFBA says concerns brushed off
A woman involved in hiring the chief executive of the United Fire Brigades' Association says she tried to raise concerns about him and was brushed off. Bill Butzbach was stood down last week pending an investigation into two historic allegations of sexual harassment and bullying. Judith Stanley was the first woman to be elected to the UFBA board of directors and one of three people on the hiring panel for Bill Butzbach. She did not stand for a second term, saying she felt bullied and demeaned by management. Judith Stanley told our reporter Rachel Thomas about what happened when Bill Butzbach was interviewed.
