Laws around case of baby who needs heart surgery, blood
A baby who badly needs a heart operation but who's parents won't let him be treated with blood from anyone who's had the Covid vaccine still can't get the care he needs. After a hearing in the High Court at Auckland yesterday, Justice Gault reserved his decision on whether the court should be granted legal guardianship of the child. The court was again picketed by dozens of anti-vax protesters, who falsely claim that blood from anyone who's been vaccinated could cause the baby harm.
