10:30 Disappointing start for mission to vaccinate Ngati Porou
A mission to get Ngati Porou vaccinated in remote communities on the East Cape has had a disappointing start. Several fly light aircraft flew to Ruatoria, and other airstrips in remote parts of the East Cape on Saturday carrying vaccination teams and the names of significant tipuna who fought with C Company in the Maori battalion in WW11 - on the side of the aircraft. They were hoping communities would come to the aerodromes to recognise the bravery of their tipuna as the planes come in to land and get vaccinated at the same time. We spoke to orthapaedic surgeon Chris Hoffman a couple of weeks ago, who flew one of the aircraft and tonight pilot and mission co-ordinator Mahanga Maru says they'll be back out there in three weeks' time.

South Wairarapa mayor, Alex Beijen explains the council's position.
10:50 Finding the real story of tennis star, Peng Shuai
Pressure is mounting on tennis associations around the world to boycott the Beijing Winter Olympics in 2022. The call comes after Chinese tennis star Peng Shuai disappeared for three weeks after accusing a senior Chinese official of sexual assault. Her absence sparked a public outcry, but yesterday Peng Shuai made a surprise appearance as she took part in a 30-minute video call from Beijing with International Olympic Committee officials and told them she was safe and well. Tennis commentator Dave Worsley has been keeping a close eye on the story but has concerns not all is as it seems.
