10:18 National's leadership spill: Collins is gone
Another National Party Leader ousted in the ongoing play for leadership. Judith Collins has lost the top job, following a shambolic day for the party. The vote of no confidence came after Ms Collins demoted former leader Simon Bridges late last night, when she says she became aware of serious accusations of misconduct dating back several years. 10:25 How to counter stalking
Stalking is a problem in New Zealand not often talked about and it is usually related to domestic or custody issues. Statistics on stalking are not collected and there is no charge for stalking - instead it comes under harrassment. Darren Morton is a security expert specialising in stalking resolutions and protection and he says the law is not sufficient to deal with the torment and hurt stalking causes..... its much more serious than a merely being a nuisance. He says there are people all around the country who know they are being stalked and don't know how to make it stop.

"Audacious thieves" is how police are describing those who have stolen an Auckland couple's treasured bonsai collection from their Mt Albert home in two separate incidents. Police are appealing to public for help to find the miniature trees. Theft of bonsai specimens is becoming more common according to Auckland Bonsai Society President Matt Hutson.
