When it comes to Hip-Hop in Aotearoa, King Kapisi's impact on it is undeniable. The Wellington born Samoan has a long list of accomplishments both musically, but also within the community. From supporting Basketball within Aotearoa, to running Open-mic soup kitchens in South Auckland, King Kapisi is a man of the people.
However his passion for music, specifically Hip-Hop, is on absolute display in his interview with Mark and Kara. What he loves about, what he wants to see from it and so much more (In particular an incredible story of the first time he ever went snowboarding, with our very own MC Slave).
When asked for his favourite New Zealand album, King Kapisi had only one in mind, Holly Smith and Mara TK's 2011 joint collaboration, Band of Brothers Vol. 1.
