Of both Fijian and Pākehā background, proudly hailing from the city Tāmaki Makaurau, Half Queen has been a major champion of the music community for many years.

She’s one of the busiest in the business, a DJ, a producer and a promoter. While she may have the same 24 hours in the day as everyone else, Half Queen clearly utilizes every moment of the day available to her.

While talking to Kara Rickard and Mark Williams about travelling the world DJing she spoke about just how much the music means to her, “It’s like a conversation, I wouldn’t want to go somewhere and not listen”.

She's made waves with massive performances for Glastonbury, Horst Music & Arts Festival and Fabric, as well as Oil Shenzhen, Cakeshop Seoul and Circus Tokyo.

Locally, she’s celebrated for her hand in the birth of FILTH, an events collective that prioritizes the nightlife experience for QTBIPOC and platforms underrepresented artists.
