A sexual violence prevention provider says arrests in the roast busters case - seven years later - is too late -- but it highlights how long it can take victims to come forward about their trauma.
Two men formerly involved in the so-called Roast Busters gang have been arrested, while a third, living overseas, will be arrested if he returns to New Zealand.
All three face charges of sexual connection with a person aged between 12 and 16, after a fresh complaint to the police about alleged offending in 2013.
Māni Dunlop spoke to co-director of the sexual violence education organisation Korowai Tumanako, Russell Smith, about his reaction to the arrests.
