Locals anxious as Covid-19 detected in Te Awamutu wastewater again

From Midday Report, 12:10 pm on 15 October 2021

People in Te Awamutu are being urged to get tested for Covid-19, after traces of the virus were detected in wastewater for the second time this week.

Health officials have not identified anyone who's returned to the area from managed isolation and quarantine - and might be shedding the virus.

The Waikato DHB says it's running a pop-up testing clinic in Te Awamutu today, from 10am until 3pm in the afternoon.

98 people were tested yesterday after the clinic opened mid-afternoon.
