Meat workers stood down for wearing union T-shirts

The dispute between the Affco meatworks company and its staff has intensified. Affco told workers at its Rangiuru and Horotiu plants this week they were not to come to work in union T-shirts. Campaign director for the Meat Workers' Union, Darien Fenton, says the suspension highlights the company's pathological hatred of unions.
