Auckland's upmarket Eastcliffe Retirement Village, has now discovered that along with serious problems with substandard buildings, it also never got the final sign-off by the council. John Gray, the President of the Home Owners and Buyers Association, says "this is yet another example of where a building project has gone badly wrong. Some of the defects they are facing at Eastcliffe are not just mistakes or errors. They are deliberate wilful acts."
