Oranga Tamariki in court after botched care of child report
An Oranga Tamariki manager is being hauled before a judge in Masterton on Monday to explain an almost 3-month delay in giving the courts a crucial report on a young girl. The state child welfare agency says the girl's safety is not an issue but her lawyer disputes this. She says the agency eventually came up with a report in just two days, but only after the judge intervened. The girl's being looked after by an aunt.
