A group of Napier residents have filed High Court proceedings against the city council to try and stop a new $41 million pool complex being built.
They say the council has failed to properly consult the community over its decision to relocate the Napier Aquatic Centre from Onekawa in the central city, to a new site on the edge of town.
RNZ Hawke's Bay reporter Anusha Bradley attended Tuesday night's public meeting on the plan.
