Principals dismayed by minimal changes to physical force rules

Teachers are disappointed and frustrated with minimal changes the government has made to their right to physically restrain students.

They say after years of debate Parliament has passed amendments that will do little to make schools any safer.

They are also angry the government gave them just hours to respond to its proposals before including them in the Education and Training Bill that was passed this week.
