Covid-19: Social media in the spotlight after misinformation

The Chief Censor says New Zealand has an opportunity to be world leading in fighting back against Covid-19 misinformation on-line.

Nasty rumours, inaccurate advice and bullying has been circulating through social media following the second wave of infections throughout Auckland.

The Health Minister Chris Hipkins gave those responsible a serve at the 1pm briefing on Sunday, but what more can be done starve the online world of 'fake news'.
