One victim of the Christchurch mosque shootings who didn't attend Brenton Tarrant's sentencing this week was Farid Ahmed.
Despite losing his wife, Husna, in the massacre in March last year, Ahmed immediately made a point of forgiving the gunman, believing that he was a victim of wrong ideas.
He has long said that he wants to meet Tarrant in person.
