Hundreds of protestors have gathered outside of a Hong Kong court as forty-seven pro-democracy activists appeared in the latest crackdown under the national security law.
The activists have been charged with conspiracy to commit subversion for organising an informal primary poll in July last year.
This is the single largest crackdown on the opposition since the controversial security law was introduced. In response, protestors have gathered in numbers not seen for many months.
Correspondent Richard Kimber spoke to Morning Report producer Lily della Porta last night from outside the court house.
