A significant internet outage last night which resulted in websites and apps globally going dark for about an hour after a major content delivery network failed.
News websites and apps affected included CNN, The Guardian, the New York Times while some sites in New Zealand were also offline.
Futurist Paul Spain, who is also the chief executive at Gorilla Technology, spoke to Susie Ferguson about the internet "glitch".
