National party leader Judith Collins says the Police Commissioner was wrong to can Armed Response Teams, after two shootings incidents involving police in recent weeks.
Commissioner Andrew Coster canned the teams after a trial, saying they were too unpopular with the public.
Collins disagrees and said a team full time assigned to deal with firearms incidents would be better than the current Armed Offenders Squad model.
