America's Cup yachtsman and Olympic champion Sir Russell Coutts says he'll join the protest Coutts has posted on his Facebook page, announcing he will arrive in Wellington next week -stating it's the first time he's ever felt compelled to join a protest.
Coutts says he's not anti-vaccination, and is vaccinated but is 'strongly opposed to the ever increasing erosion of our human rights and the growing limitations on our freedom of choice".
Russell Coutts also believes that some of the mainstream media have received payment from the New Zealand government conditional on them promoting government policy, propaganda and spin.
It's not the first time Coutts has been critical of the Covid-19 response. last year he compared the government to a dictatorship.
