Two-hundred and thirty million dollars in new funding has been put aside in the coming Budget for trade apprentice training.
The new support means 24,000 new apprentices will get government assistance, in addition to the 14,000 already receiving support.
But the actual monthly subsidy dropping from its existing $1000 to $500.
