Former US President Donald Trump focused on law and order in his first speech in Washington since leaving office, calling the country a "cesspool of crime".
This comes as his role in the 6 January attack on the Capitol remains under scrutiny.
Trump did not go so far as to announce a plan to run again for a second term but laid out policy platforms for the "next Republican president".
