Argentine fans at The Fox bar in central Auckland were elated and relieved after the rollercoaster match, and it was clear who they believed was responsible for the win.
The tournament has been one of the most controversial in World Cup history.
Corruption allegations plagued the selection process, human rights issues plagued the build up to the tournament, and even the move to December, rather than the traditional June - July tournament, had fans furious.
