Six families who bought tiny homes from a company which went bust have won the right to receive their nearly and partially completed homes in what has been described as a "ground-breaking" court decision.
The company they bought from, NZ Tiny Homes, went into liquidation in November and buyers were told their nearly-finished homes could be sold to pay creditors.
The High Court said yesterday the buyers had rights of beneficial ownership because the homes could not have been sold to anyone else in the ordinary course of business.
Lawyer Jol Bates represented the buyers.
He spoke to Jane Patterson.
