South Auckland Hip hop group Deceptikonz released their debut album Elimination in 2002 20 years later - they have released a new album independently called 'In Perpetuity' - a legal term meaning 'for life' - and words you want to avoid when signing music contracts.
Savage, Mareko and Devolo joined me in the studio to talk about the band's separation from the label Dawn Raid and the lessons the group want to teach to younger musicians.
