Nick Bollinger talks to visiting vaudevillian - and old-time music aficionado - Pokey LaFarge.
Pokey LaFarge seems, in many ways, like a throwback. Not only does he look he just stepped off some vaudeville stage from the 1920s, his music could almost come from that period too. But the songs on his latest album are original and timeless, and the way he combines blues, country, ragtime and early jazz is unique. And there are moments where it sounds like he might be just about to discover rock’n’roll.
Songs Featured: Actin’ A Fool, All Night Long, Something In The Water, Knockin’ The Dust Off The Rust Belt Tonight, The Spark
