Nelson group Alae have been performing together since high school and the hard working duo recently recorded their first batch of original material at Roundhead Studios in Auckland.
Their self-titled EP, out now, is accompanied by videos for all six songs and they are embarking on some summer dates around the South Island as well as their first major festival at this year’s Rhythm and Vines.
They stopped by RNZ to play a couple of songs and share some stories about stolen brass, cruise ships and Nelson’s Masked Parade.
