8:35 Tenuous Connections
It's Friday night, so Nights is putting on a playlist of music with a loose theme based off an even looser starting point.
Tonight, it's songs about houses.
9:07 Nights Quiz
Do you know your stuff? Come on the air and be grilled by Maggie Tweedie as she dons her quizmaster hat.
If you get an answer right, you move on to the next question. If you get it wrong, your time in the chair is up, and the next caller will be put through. The person with the most correct answers at the end of the run goes in the draw for a weekly prize.
9:20 Focus on Politics
Anneke Smith examines the Prime Minister's performance in India and takes a look at what the Foreign Affairs Minister got out of his talks with top US officials in Washington DC.
9:35 Short-Cuts with Dan Slevin
Nights' resident screen critic is back to review Disney's Snow White (2025) in cinemas now, critically-acclaimed indie film How To Blow Up A Pipeline (2022) streaming on Prime Video, and Jim Broadbent short film A Sense of History (1992) here on YouTube.
10:17 Mum to many Letitia Dowie-Lewis
Letitia 'Teesh' Dowie-Lewis has opened her doors and arms to children she doesn't know over sixty times.
Based in Hamilton, she is the recipient of Excellence in Foster Care award for 2025, a title from Governor General Cindy Kiro.
So long as she has thirty minutes notice, and a good 'All About Me' plan emailed through, she will set up bedrooms for new kids, give them their own quilt, any favourite toys or music, anything to help them be as comfortable as they can be with this scary transition.
She joins Maggie Tweedie.
