A new bill to ban entertainment app TikTok in the United States is making its way through the halls of power in Washington.
The bill focuses on threats posed by foreign-owned companies, and would force the Chinese owner of TikTok, ByteDance, to either divest itself of the popular app or face prohibition in the U.S.
Several attempts have been made to ban the app in the last few years, but they've all been stalled or faced legal action.
To explain this latest move, futurist and chief executive of Gorilla Technology Paul Spain joins Emile Donovan.
