The half a million dollar decision still baffling the book industry

In 2021 a largely unknown company was given $500,000 by the Ministry of Culture and Heritage to help boost book sales after the Covid-19 pandemic.

Nearly four years later there are still more questions than answers about the decision to hand over half million dollars of taxpayers money to Narrative Muse. 

Anna Rankin is a freelance journalist who has written about the fallout, both inside and outside the ministry, and she speaks to Emile Donovan.
