8:10 Dr Jack Watling: Ukraine Update 

Dr Jack Watling, senior research fellow for land warfare at the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI), the world’s oldest and the UK’s leading defence and security thinktank joins us once again.  

Originally from New Zealand, Jack has spent periods of time since this war began on the ground with the armed forces in Ukraine and has won international media awards for his analysis.

We first spoke to Australian Rebecca Sharrock, one of only 60 people in the world with a highly superior autobiographical memory (HSAM), also known as hyperthymesia back in June this year. 

Rebecca, who can remember every experience, thought, dream, and feeling since she was a baby has since written a book about her extraordinary life called My Life as a Puzzle.

Writer, broadcaster and language expert Susie Dent recently celebrated thirty years as a co-presenter and resident word expert on UK Channel 4's Countdown and appears on the show's comedy sister 8 out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.  

Susie joins us to talk about her career and her first novel, the murder mystery, Guilty by Definition.
