New Zealand record label Flying Nun Records, the newly formed Flying Nun Foundation, and the Alexander Turnbull Library, celebrating its centenary this year, have begun a major project to preserve and digitise the label’s collection of master tapes and archival recordings.
It will take three years and Flying Nun founder Roger Shepherd tells Wallace Chapman about the importance of the project that will preserve artists' work from 1981 to the mid 2000s, including Chris Knox, The Able Tasmans, The Bats, The Chills, Sneaky Feelings, Tall Dwarfs and many more.
