Dr Neil Thorpe: Speed camera impact on saving lives often overstated

The Government is currently taking advice on road safety, with one suggestion being to follow the example of Sweden, where speed cameras are clearly sign-posted, and used far more widely. However the impact of speed cameras in relation to saving lives are often overstated. Newcastle University Lecturer in Transport studies Dr Neil Thorpe explains.
