In 1971, leaders from the biggest names in commerce put their differences aside and came together to transform the global economy by introducing the barcode. Fifty years later, barcodes are just getting going in terms of what we'll be able to use them for. Dr Peter Stevens is the Chief Executive of GS1 New Zealand.
