Norman Lebrecht, the well-known UK musical critic, has written a recent piece claiming that the appointment of chief conductors has little impact on the performance and perception of orchestras. Gemma, who is the Music Director of the Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, joins the show to offer her thoughts on Lebrecht's musings and preview the upcoming NZSO season.
