Brian Dickey is Auckland Crown Solicitor. The first Māori in this role, Brian has prosecuted some of New Zealand's most high-profile and shocking cases - including convicting Jesse Kempson for the murder of English tourist, Grace Millane and Eli Epiha for the killing of constable Matthew Hunt.
He was only 23 when he led his first high court jury trial. He joined Auckland law firm Meredith Connell in 1994 becoming a partner in 2000 and is currently chairperson of that firm.
In June Brian announced that he will be leaving the public side of criminal law to practice privately.
