They had benign names like Cherry Farm and Sunnyside, but for many they were simply known as 'the Bins' - New Zealand's psychiatric hospitals. Filmmaker Jim Marbrook has taken a group of survivors back to the now-abandoned asylums where thousands were kept, judged incompetent for life. He talks to Chris about this important piece of our country's social history, told through the stories of five people who survived life in the Bins.
