Amelia Berry, AKA Amamelia, was the winner of this year’s Aotearoa Music Award for Best Electronic Artist, for her album Bananamelia. She describes that album as "loungy electronica", while her record label Sunreturn says it "combines breaks normally found in jungle and drum & bass with a sugary synthetic pop sensibility".
Berry joined Tony to talk him through three of her favourite musical subgenres, (with the proviso that genres don't actually exist): breakbeat hardcore, Northern soul, and Shibuya-kei.
