Commander Cody - Live from Deep in the Heart of Texas
Commander Cody and The Lost Planet Airmen play bar room country, rock-a-billy and boogie-woogie with a mischievous sense of humour. Their style of country music comes more from the hardcore traditions of Ernest Tubb than the hippie folk and bluegrass of their peers at the time. This recording captures the band in 1973 from a concert at the Armadillo World Headquarters in Texas - wild, loud and fun, from a time when they were called the best honky-tonk band in the business (MCA)
