Small businesses severely affected by the Christchurch earthquakes are positive about their future.
A survey by Recover Canterbury of 274 businesses showed nearly 74% are optimistic because trade is picking up with the rebuild of Christchurch.
But operations manager Bridget Frame said that positivity is tentative and there are still some major challenges ahead.
Ms Frame said 57% cited cashflow as one of their top three worries.
Earthquake damage to premises and problems with insurers were other main issues.
