A new survey shows property owners in Christchurch are becoming increasingly fed up with claims the city's rebuild is gaining momentum.
The online survey by the Insurance Watch group shows insurers are completing significantly fewer residential rebuilds than they had promised to.
Insurance Watch says IAG told customers in May that within six months they would be completing 85 rebuilds per month. But last month, four rebuilds were done.
Insurance Watch says those figures are frustrating for property owners who are sick of being given false hope.
Spokesperson David Stringer said there has been some improvement, with IAG claiming that since the release of last month's information, the overall number of rebuilds completed this year has risen from 49 to 102.
He said 80% of those who responded to the survey have had insurance delays and 40% plan to change insurers as soon as they are able to.
