Canterbury Employers Chamber of Commerce wants the Government to produce a detailed forecast of how the rebuilt Christchurch will look, to give more certainty about reinvesting in the city centre.
Chamber chief executive Peter Townsend said there are still many unknowns for businesses wanting to plan ahead.
Mr Townsend said he's seen no economic analysis on priorities for the city centre.
He wants the Government to supply definitive proposals in the Budget - such as a new convention centre and new stadium - and when they will happen.
