Housing New Zealand says it is still on track to reach its target of repairing 5000 earthquake damaged homes in Christchurch by the end of 2015, despite having repaired fewer than 300 houses so far.
Housing New Zealand chief executive Glen Sowry says 254 repairs have been completed on the 5000 tenanted properties damaged by the quakes and an additional 150 repairs are underway.
Mr Sowry says they are making steady progress and are committed to meeting their target of 5000 houses repaired and 700 new houses built by the end of 2015 in Canterbury.
