More than 100,000 people attended Christchurch's Santa parade on Sunday.
The parade has traditionally gone through the central city, but much of the CBD is still cordoned off as part of the red zone fixed after the February earthquake.
This year the parade, which began at 2pm, took a new route, through Riccarton.
Organisers say the parade went smoothly.
